Here are some of our pythons. They are egg-layers, and are fairly "advanced" because of the "heat pits" they have below their nostrils and either side of their mouth. These sensors allow them to "see" heat, so they can hunt a warm-blooded animal in the dark just using smell and the animal's heat signature.
