Serina is a "Pine Snake" - all black, with a wonderful temperament. She is 4 weeks old in the above pictures, and was still at the store in the above pictures. She'll grow to about 5 feet, but as a baby she was about 12" long.
Serina died 12/12/2001. Nobody is quite sure why. She had a case of mouth-rot which isn't usually a fatal thing, but does tend to mean that there is some other problem. We treated the mouth-rot and thought things were on the mend when she suddenly died. She will be missed!
Elric over at Reptiles Unlimited offered to replace her with one of her siblings for next to nothing, which was a really nice gesture. We elected not to take him up on the offer, but negotiated a discount on Sampson instead.
